The construction sector has an important role to play in reducing greenhouse gas emissions, resource consumption and waste generation. Circular construction is an important element for achieving these reductions.

This guide is aimed at decision-makers, construction managers and planners who want to create an environment for circular construction and/or successfully implement circular construction projects. The guide provides an introduction to the topic as well as valuable information on the relevant key aspects and levers to enable circular construction. In addition, the individual steps for implementing circular construction are explained and the integration of circular construction in public tenders is addressed.

Text modules for public tenders as GAEB files and ready-to-complete checklists as PDF files for the individual stakeholders in construction projects are available as appendices (in German only) to the guide for practical application.
