Low-frequency noise incl. infrasound from wind turbines and other sources
For the LUBW measurement project Low-frequency noise incl. infrasound from wind turbines and other sources, the low-frequency noise including infrasound was measured in the vicinity of modern wind turbines and other sources such as traffic, household appliances and outdoors in nature between the years 2013 and 2015. Six wind turbines with a nominal capacity of between 1.8 MW and 3.2 MW from different manufacturers were analysed. In addition, vibration measurements were also carried out at a 2.4 MW wind turbine. This detailed report contains a variety of measurement results. In addition to general information about infrasound, it also provides comprehensive explanations of technical terms. The target group includes professional experts as well as the interested general public.
